Adnexa ovary

Adnexa ovary (adnexa mass) mass of the ovary , fallopian tube. It is a very common problem in gynecology . Adnexa means the area next to uterus. 

Adnexa masses can be benign or cancerous. 

Adnexa mass includes- 

-ovarian cyst

- ectopic pregnancy 

- benign tumor 

- malignant tumour 

- endometriomass

- polycystic ovary 

- tubo ovarian abscess 

Most common cause of adnexa mass in premenopausal women are follicular cyst and corpus luteum cyst.

Premenopausal womem adnexa mass commonly caused by- cancer ,fibroids ,fibromas or diverticular abcess.

Management --

Adnexal masses often present both diagnistic and management .

Determine- benign vs malignant 

Surgery vs conservation 

Adnexal masses detected during pregnancy most commonly detected ovarian masses and these are mostly benign. 

Ultrasound is the best detection method for adnexal or ovarian masses.

And sometimes it can be removed.
